ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Rewilding the Artist is a 9-day immersive program to (re)discover the wild heartbeat of your creativity.

Set inside a forested ravine with a river and thermal springs - nature will be your collaborator as you observe and challenge the way you work, uncover dormant potential, disrupt your familiar processes and find new pathways into your imagination and creative instincts.

This is a space for exploration, cross-fertilization, and innovation rather than training of discipline specific skills.

The program will take place in the unique natural landscape of Aridea Springs, Northern Greece,

and is organized by its artistic team.

We welcome artists and creatives of diverse practices and disciplines.

WORKFLOW & PRACTICES

WORKFLOW & PRACTICES

Guided by experienced facilitators and invited guests, you will engage in daily hands-on exercises, creative explorations, challenges, and reflective practices.

You’ll work individually and collaboratively, sometimes within your own creative medium and other times experimenting with an unfamiliar one.

The emphasis is on process, on allowing uncertainty, exchange, playfulness and the more than human world to lead you on a discovery path, to ask:

  • Where does my work become most alive—and most daring?

  • What remains when I strip my practice of expectation?

  • What shifts when I create with the intention to fail rather than to succeed?

  • What happens if I disrupt my preferred working processes?

  • How can immersion in nature enhance my instincts and intuition?

  • How does experimenting in a different medium reflect on my own craft/discipline

MANIFESTING INTENTION

On the first day of the program, you will be invited to set a personal intention, which can be re-shaped whenever necessary.

Alongside the main program you will also have the time and opportunity to manifest this intention through a piece of work in progress, either within your own creative medium or in a new one, alone or with fellow participants.
